How We Work
We’re happy to work with organisations in a way that suits them, whether on an ad-hoc, project-by-project or retained basis, working from their offices, our own, or a combination of the two. (This style of working often means we are away from the office so please feel free to contact us on our mobiles should you wish to discuss our services further. David – 07795 083 885 and Helen – 0794 662 0808.
Our approach and methodology follows proven marketing processes which are broken down into two main phases, namely:
Phase 1 – Research, evaluation and planning
The initial step in the marketing process for the development of a formal marketing plan is to hold a joint ‘discovery’ meeting with the client’s management team. The aim of this meeting is to gain an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, its corporate objectives and marketing needs.
In this meeting we would typically expect to discuss:
- Company structure
- Corporate, sales and marketing objectives
- Sales plans & targets (including sales process)
- Target markets
- Target audiences (internal, external, other stakeholder groups)
- PEST analysis
- SWOT analysis
- Proposition/commercial offer
- Brand positioning (current and desired/required)
- Potential barriers to communication (internal and external)
- CRM programme
- CSR policy
- Competitors
- Differentiation and USPs
- Industry influencers
- Future plans (service/product diversification, new markets etc)
- Current marketing collateral and activity (existing and planned)
- Potential PR hooks, themes and stories
- Industry accreditations and memberships
- Marketing budgets.
This would be backed up by additional desktop research into areas where further information is required.
Step 2 – Deliverables
- Marketing plan (including key message guide and project plan for implementation)
- Implementation of plan
Once a marketing plan has been signed off and budgets approved, implementation takes place ASAP based on the immediate and ongoing requirements of the client whilst keeping a watching brief on all relevant marketing opportunities.
The benefits of Savvy outsourced marketing support include:
- Continuity (the average ‘in-house’ Marketing Director stays in the job for only 14 months!)
- Your business gets access to all the functions and support of an experienced marketing director/department at a fraction of the cost of bringing it in-house.
- You get strategic marketing support and hands-on tactical help when and where you need it most.
- You get access to over 35 years of B2B and Consumer marketing experience gained in senior roles client side and with leading NW marketing and PR agencies
- It’s based on a proven and effective marketing process.
- It frees up your time to allow you to concentrate on what you do best.
- We will work from your own offices if preferred.
- If you decide to bring your marketing in-house, you need only to provide us with one months notice.
- We are able to take ownership of our advice and recommendations beyond the initial period of our consultancy and provide full reporting and measurement.
- It ensures your marketing strategy gets implemented.
- We have the benefit of being able to look at your business objectively from the outside in and provide focus, clarity and direction.
- It’s more cost-effective than bringing the same resource in-house
