In conversation with…
Posted on Oct 19 in News & Blog, Recent News by DaveWe have kindly been invited by Lewis Webster, Managing Director of Little Orchard Creative Video Production to take part in their “In Conversation With” series on Tuesday November 30th. For those of you not yet familiar with the “In Conversation With” series and wanting to know a little more just read on.
In Conversation with…is an informal, on the couch style of interview, a TV programme for the web, which is streamed live and interactive, as viewers can ask questions during the show. It’s a conversation with business people, covering a wide range of topics and really useful tools and insights from the great and the good of the Manchester business world.
Designed as a live webcast of 30 minutes, Lewis is going to talk us through a selection of topics and questions, which will hopefully demonstrate our approach, thoughts and ideas across different areas of marketing. Having watched the series to date, featuring well-known figures from the business community in Manchester, we know that the end result can be really positive, providing a showcase for the guest business and an opportunity to talk about the business world in which you operate as well as share your views and ideas.
We have decided that as we’re a partnership, we’re both going to be interviewed by Lewis. So if you have half an hour to spare, please do make a note in your diary for Tuesday 30th November 3pm and you can watch us live on air. But don’t worry if you miss it because after the day the video will be available to view on our website.

David takes the LEAD
Posted on May 10 in Recent News by DaveSavvy’s David Adams has recently enrolled in a Management Development programme at the University of Salford. The ten month Leading Enterprise and Development (LEAD) programme was developed in the North West for SME owner-mangers and equips them with additional skills and ability to run and grow a successful business.
The LEAD programme was originally piloted by Lancaster University School (LUMS) and since inception in 2004 over 250 businesses have benefited from this programme. The university has business-focused programmes that are geared to SME’s needs and goals and offer practical solutions to overcoming barriers to growth.
The LEAD programme participants have a proven track record of delivering improved business performance, with 90% of pilot delegates saying they had witnessed an average £200,000 increase in turnover, with a similarly impressive rise in profit growth. Some have expanded into new markets, whilst others have used the lessons and experiences to become more profitable.
David comments, “The programme takes a very integrated approach and focuses on dual needs – those of my business as well as my personal development by giving practical hands on help and advice, one-to-one coaching, active learning, sharing with and learning from peers, as well as from other successful businesses through a range of ‘topic specific’ master classes.
Although quite demanding at times, three months into the programme I can already see the benefit and impact of what I have experienced and learnt.”
